I'm a jumble of neuroses--some good, some bad, some just plain weird. I love the Iowa Hawkeyes. I'm intensely loyal to my friends. I would love to earn a living by traveling around the world taking pictures. It's a difficult journey to the center of my soul. Several have tried, none have succeeded, and a few have nearly exhausted themselves in the process. I'm not an open book, but sometimes I read like one. I like dogs.

B and I went to Chicago last week to see Michael Buble. Fantastic, as always...I've never met a man as witty (or as smooth) as he. And Alan Chang, his piano guy and coordinator, is a beautiful, beautiful, talented, beautiful man. We had a great time, as always. Lou Malnati's pizza, the planetarium, the Buckingham Fountain (Married With Children fame), ate at a fantastic restaurant (we finally got to find out what Amish Chicken is, and the desserts were fab-you-luss), stayed at a totally awesome hotel, stopped at Navy Pier and did the Ferris Wheel. It was an action packed 2.5 days and 2 nights.
Still working on the Vancouver pictures, so sometime this week (I hope) y'all will have a bunch of pretty pictures to look at.
Vancouver rocks.
Whistler rocks harder.
Ziptrekking rocks even the rockiest rock.
Vancouver water tastes even better than Zephyrhills water (and I loooove Zephyrhills water).
B and I took somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500 pictures between us. In 6 days. 5, really, since Sunday was spent flying back to the midwest.
BC'ers are beyond nice. If there was a nice-off between BC'ers (British Columbians, technically, I guess) and Iowans...I may have to give the nod to our friends up north. Even the construction workers on the Sea to Sky Highway wave at you.
I had a bite of salmon (good salmon, of course, since it was probably caught that day). I'll stick with eating the turf dwellers.
We saw various sites for the 2010 Winter Olympics (and I have the souvenirs and clothes to prove it)...the athletes' village, alpine skiing, the luge track (we went right past the luge track...like 10 feet away from it...I took a picture of the guys working on it...the banks on the curves are incredible...must try luging someday).
