I'm a jumble of neuroses--some good, some bad, some just plain weird. I love the Iowa Hawkeyes. I'm intensely loyal to my friends. I would love to earn a living by traveling around the world taking pictures. It's a difficult journey to the center of my soul. Several have tried, none have succeeded, and a few have nearly exhausted themselves in the process. I'm not an open book, but sometimes I read like one. I like dogs.

In honor of football starting in 4 days (woo!), I have changed my avatar to reflect the change of seasons.
I was actually excited for the Emmys, and of course I was excited when The Office won. And I got to see Wentworth Miller in a tux and John Krasinski in a very lovely suit. Ooh, baby!
Saturday can't get here soon enough.
My aunt was discharged at the hospital she was staying at on Thursday, when we were on our way south and stopped to see her. She wasn't there...she was en route to the hospice in our hometown. She was taken off all life support about a week ago because there's nothing more the doctors can do. So now we just wait.
The weekend was good, though. We went to the Arch and saw relatives we hadn't seen in years and ate and drank and talked and went boating and swimming and it was good.
