I'm a jumble of neuroses--some good, some bad, some just plain weird. I love the Iowa Hawkeyes. I'm intensely loyal to my friends. I would love to earn a living by traveling around the world taking pictures. It's a difficult journey to the center of my soul. Several have tried, none have succeeded, and a few have nearly exhausted themselves in the process. I'm not an open book, but sometimes I read like one. I like dogs.

I just broke 11,000 visits (or 11.000 visits for my European friends
). You voyeurs rock, you know that?
The measure of a person is how much someone will do for someone else when they have absolutely nothing to gain.
I'm still alive, doing my thing and stuff, just haven't felt like posting anything lately. I made a birthday cake for my friend T who works at a running store, and he hooked me up with a sweet deal on running shoes...and they fit so well, it's amazing. My friends loved their wedding cakes...their baby is still all warm and cozy....he's not quite ready to come out, but he's not even due for another 2 weeks or so. Umm...pants are looser, very nice. I get to go hang out with the boys for a while this weekend, then hang out with the girls for the rest of the weekend. The book I'm reading right now really shows that phi is a kickass number. I transplanted my grandma's plant into a bigger pot...it was looong overdue. It looks so huge now. It's the one my friends had delivered to her funeral a year and a half ago. It's waist high. I'm paranoid about it dying, especially since I'm not exactly the best at keeping plants alive, but it's still growing so I'm happy about that. I love how they pronounce the Colbert Report as the "Colber Repore"...so funny. Tomorrow is Thursday, so it's Office day! God, I love that show.
Toodles!
Happy St. Patricks Day!!
and
GO HAWKS!!!

Aren't Jeff (3rd picture) and Greg (last picture) just adorable???
2006 Big Ten Tournament Champs! Who'da thunk it??
My mom called a little bit ago. My 4-year-old nephew was walking around with her phone and my SIL's phone clipped to his waistband (he loves cell phones and likes to call people, say hi, then hang up). He went to dial a number, turned to her, and asked, "What's the number for oven?"
"Oven? Who's oven?"
"You know...Oven...where the bup is."
*sniff*
I love that kid.
E and S went off and got married this morning. Had it planned for a couple of weeks, didn't tell anybody (except their parents and the 2 people who stood for them), got married, went out for breakfast, and went to work. Those crazy kids!!!
At least I get to make the wedding cake!!
I had a dream last night. Most of it was very, very weird, but there was a small part that made me smile in my sleep. I looked out the window to check on Bup...he was snoozing in the sun, he wagged his tail and chased bunnies in his sleep, then he rolled over onto his back and wriggled around a bit. So I think he's doing pretty good now.
I'm watching Dr. Phil. It's about cheaters. The 2nd couple on there...she just found out he was cheating because he got a rash on his hoo hoo dilly. Now he's all "Oh, I'm so sorry, I want to save my marriage, I hope I can forgive myself."
You know what? I think that's fucking bullshit. If you can't respect the person you're with enough that you can't be faithful to him or her, and then not be honext about it (the first lady on wouldn't admit to cheating on her husband until they showed her with the other guy) until the proof is thrown right in your face (like, say, in rash-form), you can just sit and fester and rot and not forgive yourself. God, I hope she doesn't stay with him. He doesn't deserve her.
And I really hope I go to Chicago next Saturday. *crossing fingers*
